  • Jason is a well-rounded fire safety engineer with over fifteen years’ experience in the construction industry and is a registered building practitioner in Victoria and New South Wales. He has extensive experience on a multitude of projects across multiple states. Jason’s ability to combine his local and national knowledge has resulted in his elevated status within the industry.

Luke Curtis

  • Luke has over eleven years’ experience in the field of fire safety engineering and is a Chartered Engineer, and a registered building practitioner in Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland. He prides himself on his client service and ability to achieve great outcomes for projects without compromising on the fire safety aspects of a building.

Clinton Randall

  • Clinton has over thirteen years’ experience as a fire engineer and is the technical lead of the SQR1 team. Clinton’s knowledge of the local building codes coupled with a drive to assist in achieving great outcomes makes him an essential part of any design team.

Sebastian Roache

  • As an early career professional, Sebastian has sought experience in a wide variety of projects including large heritage projects, healthcare, industrial, residential and retail. This experience, along with a strong technical background, has allowed Sebastian to make meaningful contributions to the design and delivery of projects, including bespoke smoke exhaust systems in heritage building design.

    Sebastian is actively engaged in his projects, providing fire engineering advice and documentation to support the larger project team. He understands the value in creating and maintaining effective professional relationships with project stakeholders over the project lifecycle.

Jeremy Brown

  • Jeremy has an intuitive knowledge of the National Construction Code - owing to his involvement in a broad array of projects including retail developments, residential (both low & high rise), childcare, schools and hospitals. Through the application of this knowledge, he takes great satisfaction in resolving novel and challenging fire safety issues. Enthusiastic and thorough, Jeremy is a valuable contributor to any design team.

Raj Mehta

  • Raj Mehta is an Aerospace Engineering graduate who has transitioned into the fire safety engineering industry. His project experience includes residential buildings, schools, childcare centres, and commercial buildings. Raj is adaptable and enjoys problem-solving, particularly when tackling complex or non-standard fire safety scenarios. He draws on his aerospace background to support computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, helping assess smoke and heat movement where required. His careful approach to work and interest in improving safety outcomes make him a valuable contributor to project teams.

Finn Colman

  • Finn is a passionate Engineering graduate with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. Finn's dedication to learning has enabled him to quickly grasp the complexities of the Fire Engineering field. His commitment to continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving makes him a valuable asset to our team, ensuring that he not only meets, but exceeds expectations in contributing to our projects.

Emily Poppenbeek

  • Emily recently completed a double degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and Biomedical Science at Monash University. Her multidisciplinary background provides a strong technical foundation and a unique perspective when approaching engineering challenges.

    She enjoys collaborating with diverse teams to develop practical, innovative, and well-rounded solutions. Working across multiple disciplines has strengthened her analytical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills, enabling her to contribute effectively to complex projects.

    Emily is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and continuously expanding her knowledge and expertise. She values teamwork and believes that the best solutions are achieved through collaboration and the integration of diverse perspectives.

Hayden Reynolds

  • Hayden recently completed a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at Monash University, with a minor in Renewable Energy. He is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and takes pride in approaching his work with professionalism, attention to detail, and a continuous focus on improvement.

    With a strong interest in efficiency and sustainable engineering solutions, Hayden brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to problem-solving. His adaptability, strong work ethic, and collaborative mindset enable him to contribute effectively to project teams and support the successful delivery of engineering outcomes.

Lachlan Carney

  • Lachlan is currently finishing a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Arts. Since joining SQR1, Lachlan has already immersed himself in CFD modelling, contributing to a range of interesting projects across the business. His analytical mindset, curiosity and willingness to learn have made him a valuable addition to the team.

Georgia Woollard

  • Georgia is currently completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Commerce and has already made a strong start at SQR1, contributing to a variety of retail, office and healthcare projects. With experience in both engineering and commerce, she has been able to develop her problem-solving skills and communication whilst working within different teams. She is eager to apply her technical knowledge from both industries to develop practicable solutions for real-world problems.

Shelley Miles

  • Shelley is a detail-oriented and results-driven professional with experience spanning legal administration, engineering consultancy, and project delivery. With a proven track record in project coordination, stakeholder communication, and financial management, Shelley excels in maintaining compliance and supporting projects from planning through to completion with accuracy and reliability.

Taylah Paulic

  • As our Project Administrator, Taylah has quickly become a key member in keeping our processes running smoothly, giving our team more time to do what we love most — Consult and Innovate. Coming from a background in interior design, she adds fresh creativity and energy to our work.
